![]() I loved the dog, Bob, and enjoyed the way the author used the main character Adam’s inability to see facial features. ![]() It was fascinating to watch the narrative progress from the year after the couple got married to the end of the novel, whereby they realise they’re still in love with one another. I’m also in love with how this book explores how people change, and how relationships break down over time. The setting was somewhat Gothic, and I loved how the author used the different wedding anniversaries to tell the story of Adam’s first wife. Her ability to write multiple POV without giving away the final twist for her books is absolutely flawless, and just as in Sometimes I lie and His and Hers, I didn’t see the ending to this novel coming. ![]() I love Alice Feeney, so I couldn’t wait to grab her new release and I was not disappointed. ![]()
